May Public Service Excellence Award (PSEA) Winner

Deputy Premier Walter Roban and the Head of the Public Service, Dr. Derrick Binns last week  recognized the Department of Health’s Ms. Freddie Lambert as the recipient of the May Public Service Excellence Award (PSEA).

As the community is aware, the PSEA is a programme that recognizes Public Officers who are demonstrating admirable service delivery. Each month an individual or team is selected for their significant accomplishments in the last 60 days.

Ms. Lambert has been a devoted and hardworking public health worker for many years, providing exceptional services to the people of Bermuda. Whether she is working in the Department of Health Clinic, assisting at a Health Promotion in the community, working as a Nurse’s Assistant in patients’ homes, or providing home cleaning support to those with exceptional circumstances, Ms. Lambert demonstrates admirable dedication and commitment to her work.

Additionally, Ms. Lambert has gone above and beyond when it comes to her elderly clients, to ensure their safety and wellbeing. Her care and attention to detail have earned her the respect and admiration of the nursing staff, who feel she is an invaluable asset to the Department of Health.

Her colleagues appreciate Ms. Lambert for being consistently solution-oriented, dependable, and always exuding a calm, yet warm demeanor, even under stress. She is also known to be ambitious and self-motivated, having taken many certification courses offered through the Government’s Department of Employee and Organizational Development to enhance her learning, and to continue providing the best possible service to her patients.

Minister Roban said, “It was heartwarming to hear Ms. Lambert’s colleagues describe her compassion, kindness and self-lessness towards her patients and all those she works with. On behalf of the Premier of Bermuda, I applaud her integrity and professionalism, and wish her continued success in her career with the Ministry of Health.”

Dr. Binns, said, “On behalf of the Public Service, it is my sincere pleasure to congratulate Ms. Lambert on receiving this month’s award. We are deeply grateful for her unwavering commitment to serving the people of Bermuda, and we are truly honored to be able to recognize her hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm for service excellence. Thank you for always giving 100% of yourself to every task, Ms. Lambert, and congratulations on this extraordinary accomplishment.”
