Marine advisory for ‘Non-Mariners’ Raft-up

The public is reminded that the coastal area of Mangrove Bay, Somerset, extended to the easternmost island at the tip of King’s Point, will be closed to regular marine traffic on Sunday, 31 July, between noon and 6 p.m. for ‘Non-Mariners’ raft–up.

In the interest of safety, personal watercraft, including jet skis, are prohibited from operating in the area of Mangrove Bay, southwest of a line between the southern end of Watford Bridge and the easternmost island at the tip of King’s Point.

All boat and jet ski operators must adhere to the five-knot no-wake restriction.

The Bermuda Police Service Marine Unit will patrol the area along with the Coast Guard and focus on offences including anti-social behaviour and operating a vehicle whilst impaired.
