Police confirmed a man died as a result of a shooting in the Cobbs Hill Railway Trail Warwick area last night.
A neighborhood that is generally quiet became the scene of gun play activity, a neighbor telling TNN News they heard about five or six gunshots just before 9pm last night. I called 911 moments after hearing these shots.
Police said around 8:50 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21st, 2023, police received reports of several gunshots heard in the area of Cobbs Hill and the Railway Trail in Warwick.
Upon police arrival at the scene, it was confirmed that a male had been shot.
He was transported by ambulance to King Edward Hospital for treatment for his injuries which are considered life threatening.
An investigation into this incident has begun and anyone with information is asked to call the main police number, 295-0011.
