Man plead guilty to Manslaughter in Supreme Court today

Appearing today before Justice Mr. Juan Wolfe during the November Arraignments in the Supreme Court, 48 year old, Clinton Kevin Smith, pleaded not guilty to a charge that on or about the 10th of June, 2022, he unlawfully killed Keith Gordon.

However, represented by King’s Counsel, Jerome Lynch, Mr. Smith pleaded guilty to the lesser offence of manslaughter.

Mr. Smith who has been remanded in custody for approximately two and a half years, will return to court on November 12th this year, when he is expected to be sentenced.

Keith Gordon, the son of late labour leader Dr. E.F. Gordon and brother of former Premier Pamela Gordon and former MP Patricia-Gordon Pamplin, was found unresponsive inside a residence on Victoria Street in the City of Hamilton, on Saturday, June 11th, 2022.

However it wasn’t until June 15th that year, that police declared his death a murder.
