Around 7:20 PM on Friday, 5th July, 2024, police and other first responders were dispatched to a reported serious, two vehicle collision, involving a taxi and a motorcycle, on South Road, Southampton, in the vicinity of Southampton Princess Hotel.
Early information, suggests a male traveling in the eastbound lane on a motorcycle, collided with a taxi traveling in the opposite direction.
The motorcycle rider has been conveyed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment of what has been described as very serious injuries.
The man driving the taxi has not been reported as injured.
Traffic diversions are in place at Lighthouse Road and Harbour view Drive, while police process the scene.
Witnesses are being asked to contact Sergeant, 2408 Blackman at the earliest opportunity.
