Man faces theft and trespassing charges in Magistrates Court

A 31 year old Devonshire man appeared in Magistrates’ Court charged with four offences relating to trespassing and theft.

Dwayne Hassan was charged with trespassing and stealing a flat screen television valued at $400 between the 20th day of March 2024 and the 20th day of April 2024.

Between the 1st day of April 2024 and the 5th day of May 2024, he has been accused of trespassing and stealing several items including a nightstand, scarf, bag and rope.

Between the 1st day of April 2024 and the 12th day of May 2024, he’s accused of trespassing and stealing several items valued at $1,649.

Between the 25th of April 2024 and the 26th day of April 2024, Hassan has been charged with trespassing with the intent to steal.

Senior Magistrate Maxanne Anderson remanded Mr Hassan into custody as he was already on bail for a previous offence.

He is due to return to court on the 8th of July at 2:30pm for mention and disclosure.
