Man charged with Middle Town shooting firearm and ammunition possession in Magistrates Court

An 18 year old Pembroke man was today charged with four firearms and ammunition related charges when he appeared in Magistrates Court.

Kentaro Bean is accused of Unlawfully discharging a bullet from a firearm.
Possession of ammunition, without holding a valid license. Possession a firearm, without holding a valid license and that he unlawfully shot at a person with a loaded firearm.

The charges stem from a shooting incident which occurred in the Middle Town Lane area, Pembroke and left three people injured, on Thursday, May 2nd, this year.

Bean, was not required to enter a plea to the indictable offences which must be dealt with in the Supreme Court.

Senior Magistrate, the Worshipful Maxanne Anderson, granted the accused bail, in the sum of $50 thousand dollars with a like surety.

As part of bail conditions, Bean was put on 24 hour house arrest and he is to be fitted with an electronic monitoring device (EMD).

Kentaro Bean will next appear in the Supreme Court during the monthly arraignment session, scheduled for Monday, July 1, 2024, at 10am.
