Man charged with Robbery in Magistrates Court

A 27 year old Sandys Parish man appeared in Magistrates Court today charged with robbery, the accused man allegedly stole from a Paget fast food spot namely the Ice Queen.

Michael Simons, 27, pleaded not guilty to robbing Glen Duarte, an employee at Ice Queen, on January 25th and elected to have his trial heard in Magistrates’ Court.

Magistrate Tyrone Chin adjourned the case until February 20 and released Simons on $2,500 bail with a surety.

Simons must attend the Hamilton Police Station once a week, Monday’s between the hours of 8am and 8pm, he must also surrender his travel documents and ordered not to have contact with the accused or visit Ice Queen.
