This morning in Magistrate’s Court, 24-year-old Raheem Wray was charged with murdering 23-year-old Osagi Bascome with a knife in St. George’s parish on December 18, 2021.
As the charge is indictable and must be heard in the Supreme Court, Mr. Wray, from Devonshire, was not required to enter a plea during this morning’s court appearance.
Taking everything into consideration, the Worshipful Senior Magistrate Juan Wolffe sent the case up to the Supreme Court, where it will be mentioned during the February monthly arraignment session on Tuesday February 1.
Magistrate Wolffe also ordered that Mr. Wray remain in custody until that time and that the Bermuda Police Service (BPS) progress with the investigation as quickly as possible.
