Man charged with GBH in Magistrates Court

Appearing in Magistrates’ court this morning, was a 56 year old Pembroke man was charged with four indictable offenses.

The accused man Russell Lambert has been charged with  • 1. On the 8th day of July 2023, in Pembroke Parish, with intent to do grievous bodily harm did unlawfully wound CR.
Contrary to Section 305 (a) of the Criminal Code Act 1907.

• 2. On the gth day of July 2023, in Pembroke Parish, willfully and unlawfully damaged a Samsung A705 cellphone), the property of CR, the injury being done being to an amount exceeding sixty dollars to wit $599.00 Contrary to Section 448 (I) of the Criminal Code Act 1907.

• 3. On the 8th day of July 2023, in Pembroke Parish, willfully and unlawfully damaged a car windshield, the property of CR, the injury being done being to an amount exceeding sixty dollars to wit $855.00

• 4. On the 8″h day of July 2023, in Pembroke Parish, unlawfully assaulted CR. Contrary to Section 314 (1) of the Criminal Code Act 1907. W

Mr Lambert, was not required to enter a plea to the indictable offences, and was bailed by acting Magistrate Kenlyn Swan to the sum $25,000 with a like surety.

Lambert was also ordered to have no contact with the complaint and is required to report to the Hamilton Police Station on Fridays between the hours of 8am – 8pm.

Russell Lambert is due back in court on the 5th of September for the Supreme Court monthly arraignment session.
