22-year-old Iyuan Smith appeared in Magistrate’s Court charged with possession of a prohibited weapon, namely a .25 calibre firearm and six rounds of ammunition without a license.
He was also charged with possession of cannabis with intent to supply. He was charged with the offences after the items were allegedly seized by police at his Cashew City, St. George’s residence on Saturday 27th January, 2024.
The construction worker was not called upon to plea as the charges were laid indictably. He was remanded into custody and is expected to return to court during the March Supreme Court arraignment session.
