Appearing in Magistrates’ court today, a 48-year-old Southampton man faced serious criminal charges.
Shane Todd has been charged with the following offences:
On August 3, 2024, Shane Todd allegedly attempted to unlawfully cause the death of a woman.
On the same date, Todd is accused of unlawfully depriving the woman of her personal liberty.
Shane Todd also faces a charge of using spoken words or conduct to threaten injury with the intent to cause alarm.
Magistrate Maria Sofianos remanded Todd in custody. He was not required to enter a plea to the indictable offences and he is scheduled to appear in Supreme court at the September arraignment session.
