MAN CHANGES PLEA TO GUILTY REGARDING WOMAN’S MURDER

Today, in Supreme Court, under the watchful eyes of Justice Shade Subair, Anthony Davis pleaded guilty to the Fall 2021 murder of Morissa Moniz.

After having orginially denied killing the then 28-year-old Ms Moniz, however Davis changed his plea to guilty at his appearance before the court this morning.

Moniz was killed at an apartment in Smith’s Parish, overlooking Flatt’s Inlet, during an incident in the early hours of November 7, 2021 involving Davis.

Davis, a 38-year-old from Smith’s Parish, was remanded into custody, pending his reappearance for sentencing, which Justice Subair set down for March 27.
