Man banned from roads, fined $1,700 for drink-driving

A 53 year old Paget man appeared in the Magistrates Court yesterday morning charged with the following offenses of driving whilst impaired, driving without a valid driver license and driving while exceeding the legal alcohol limit.

Albino Dasilva Cabral a Portuguese National, with the help of a translator pled guilty to driving without a license and drink driving; and pled not guilty to driving whilst impaired.

Cabral has been disqualified from operating all vehicles for 18 months along with a $1,500 fine.
In addition, Magistrate Craig Attridge fined Mr Cabral to $200 for driving without a license.
