Around 9:30pm this evening a single vehicle accident occurred as a car overturned after hitting a wall 200 yards west of Somerset Bridge. The driver of the vehicle has since been arrested on suspicion of Driving Under the Influence.
An eyewitness motorist whom TNN has decided to keep anonymous, provides a first-hand account of the accident.
The eyewitness was travelling eastward on Somerset Road when the vehicle in front of them began veering left and right.
The motorist sensed by the way the person was driving that something bad was going to happen and decided to follow the vehicle until it did.
“ The next thing I knew, the car touched the side of the curve and flipped over,” the witness said. “ I got the driver out of the car to make sure that they were okay and waited for the ambulance and police to show up.”
TNN understands the driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI
