Man arrested after allegedly causing a three vehicle collision

Around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2024, police officers attended an injury related road traffic collision involving three vehicles in the area on Middle Road just west of Khyber Pass, Warwick.

Reports are a 38-year-old male was driving west along Middle Road in a Suzuki van, when a 27-year-old male motorcyclist reached into the vehicle in an alleged attempted to assault the driver.

During the incident, both vehicles collided with a motorcar driven by a 79-year-old female, traveling east.

They then left the scene prior to police arrival.

The motorcar driver suffered non-serious facial injuries and was attended to at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital and discharged.

Based on information received, the motorcycle rider was arrested and an investigation into this matter is now underway.
