Twenty-two-year-old Tyrone Butterfield is facing the possibility of serious jail sentence, after he admitted to a charge of sexually assaulting a child, as well as a separate count of intruding on the privacy of a child in a manner likely to alarm or offend.
Butterfield submitted the guilty pleas while appearing before Magistrate Craig Attridge on Tuesday.
The sexual assault was said to have taken place in March 2025, while the instance of intrusion took place April 2, 2024.
The case was adjourned until August 20, when sentencing will take place.
Attridge ordered the defendant to adhere to bail conditions during the interim period.
