TNN News understands that police intercepted and seized a significant amount of illegal drugs from off an aircraft at LF Wade International Airport last night.
Sources telling TNN a number of people were arrested during the raid with a senior government employee said to be included.
Asked for comment on these reports, a police spokesman told TNN
“The Bermuda Police Service can confirm the seizure of a quantity of suspected illegal drugs in the area of Kindley Field Road, St. George’s
A number of individuals have been arrested in relation to this seizure.
An investigation into this matter has commenced.
No further information will be provided at this time.
TNN understands among those arrested is at least one individual who is facing charges in connection with a similar situation and is now out on bail.
