The Lumina Festival has obtained Bermuda Economic Development Corporation (BEDC)’s support as a headline sponsor for the inaugural Financial Literacy Summit on Friday, Sept. 26, a position reserved for organisations that have donated at least $25,000.
The one-day event is designed to tackle growing wealth disparities across the island and provide those at various stages in their financial journey with the tools, strategies, and knowledge to take control of their finances and secure their financial future.
It will feature panels, workshops, and interviews with financial experts, and successful entrepreneurs, including headline speaker 19 Keys.
Donte Hunt, Director of MSME Unit said, “At BEDC, we are committed to supporting initiatives that strengthen Bermuda’s entrepreneurial community. The Lumina Festival’s focus on financial literacy directly supports our mission as financial literacy is a core component of building a sustainable business. Entrepreneurs must understand their costs, manage their resources effectively, and plan for growth. Without this foundation, even the most innovative ideas can falter.”
He continued,b“By supporting financial literacy, we are helping business owners gain the tools to make informed decisions, protect their assets, and create lasting value, not just for their businesses, but for the broader Bermuda economy. Our sponsorship allows us to support both a new startup in the Lumina Festival and the learning opportunities it will provide to hundreds of current and aspiring entrepreneurs. We hope the Financial Literacy Summit will give entrepreneurs access to practical, actionable strategies that help them better manage their finances and grow their businesses.
”Tickets are available at luminafest.com and ptix.bm, starting at $175 for general access and $249 for VIP access. BEDC members have access to discounted ticket prices and should email info@bedc.bm to receive the discount code and confirm membership.
