Live Entertainment by Kairos XXII Productions

Kairos XXII Productions, a local entertainment and production company, will host four weeks of live music each Saturday in June. The event, titled The Experience, will feature the Century 22 Band and will showcase some of Bermuda’s best known and beloved entertainers at the Willowbank Resort in Somerset. Musical genres will include Contemporary Christian, R&B, and Reggae and will feature original works and covers.

Entertainers and vocalists comprising the Century 22 Band include Gita Blakeney-Saltus, Rickeesha Binns, Candace Furbert, Shani Smith, Shardae Lee and Jecoa Burrows. Shani Smith and Shardae Lee also play the guitar and are supported by fellow band members Whency Woolridge on bass/guitar and Bim Bademosi on the keyboard. Special guest entertainers will be announced and there will be surprise entertainers on the night.

Event organizers, singer, song writer, Ms. Janita K. Burke and veteran musician and teacher Mr. Abimbola (Bim) Bademosi have formed Kairos XXII Productions and together written, produced and performed original music.

Ms. Burke stated, “Our vision is to spread messages of positivity, hope, love and the good news of Jesus through our music. We feel this is acutely needed, especially in a world that has lived through a pandemic for the last two years.

“At Kairos XXII Productions, one of our aims is to produce music that will delight the ears, impact the heart and soothe the soul. Included in this vision is to work with and promote the abundance of Bermudian talent (producers, musicians, songwriters, singers) and provide them with a platform to express their gifts and talents in excellence.”

Mr. Bademosi added, “Audiences should prepare for an outstanding treat. Many of our band members haven’t sung in public for more than two years. They are eager to get back onto the stage to share their voices and musical abilities with Bermuda. We look forward to welcoming everyone who is looking for a mature evening of exciting entertainment with some of Bermuda’s best performers.

“Our aim this summer is to create as many opportunities as possible for people to hear and experience music that will change their lives for the better.”

Show dates are: Saturday June 4, 11, 18 and 25. Willowbank Resort doors open at 7:00pm and the show starts at 8:00pm.
