Lema gets 7.5 years for home invasion and robbery

Zywonde Lema was handed down a seven-and-a-half-year prison sentence for his part in a home invasion and robbery of an elderly couple in Paget.

Puisne Judge Juan Wolffe sentenced the 21-year-old to the period of incarceration after the 21-year-old pleaded guilty to the charges, which also involved another man.
The court heard how Lema and another male had held a man and is wife hostage for a prolonged period, while demanding cash, credit cards and pin numbers to bank cards and searching for valuables.

The couple were eventually released from their terror, when the men departed with between $500 and $2,000.
