KFC donates $4,534 to The Reading Clinic in successful 8th Halloween Promotion

KFC is proud to announce the successful completion of its annual Halloween Voucher Campaign, raising $4,534 in support of The Reading Clinic, a local charity dedicated to empowering children with learning differences through specialised literacy and numeracy programmes.

Throughout the month of October, KFC offered Halloween treat vouchers, inviting customers to purchase booklets of coupons in lieu of traditional candy. For only two dollars, packets of 5 vouchers were available from KFC to redeem for a KFC product with retail value up to $12.25.  Each voucher allows a child aged 12 or under to redeem it and receive either an apple turnover, one order of French fries or a chocolate chip cookie.  The initiative not only provided a fun and festive alternative for local families but also helped channel meaningful funds into educational support for children across the island.  All vouchers are valid until January 31st, 2026, at KFC.

Ms. Tina Harris, Executive Director at The Reading Clinic said, “We are so grateful to KFC and everyone in the community who supported this initiative. Every dollar raised helps us provide research based, individualised reading and math intervention to children who learn differently due to a diagnosis of dyslexia or math based learning differences. This donation will help alter their educational trajectory and support them as they Learn. Grow. Soar.

KFC has long been committed to giving back to the community through charitable initiatives and partnerships with local organisations. The annual Halloween Voucher Campaign remains one of its most anticipated community efforts, bringing families together for a cause that directly benefits Bermuda’s youth.

Ms. Ginene Haslam, General Manager of KFC, said: “We are incredibly grateful for the generous support from our customers.  The Reading Clinic provides essential services to children who need specialized learning support, and community partnerships like this help ensure they continue making a positive, lasting impact.”  Ms. Haslam continued, “We are very happy to have raised $4,534.  We know how challenging fundraising can be for local Charities, so being able to help their local programmes and initiatives with this contribution is rewarding”.
