JURY FINDS LAWYER GUILTY OF $80,000 THEFT

A Supreme Court jury earlier today found lawyer Nancy Viera guilty of wrongfully acquiring $80,000 from a major supporter of the disabled and once respected insurance executive.

Viera was found guilty of ‘fleecing’ accident victim Kirsten Badenduck of the large amount of money via a string of dishonest means and methods adjudged to have been carried out by the attorney.

In one instance, Viera was found to have dishonestly collected a money transfer from the victim, sometime in January of 2016.

In addition she was found guilty of stealing $36,216 via unauthorised ATM withdrawals and debit card transaction in August of 2015..

The verdicts brought in were unanimous.

During the prolonged trial the jury watched a video of the now deceased victim Ms Badenduck, who died in 2019 as evidence.

Puisne Judge Juan Wolffe remanded Viera in custody in lieu of sentencing, despite the disgraced lawyers asserting that she intended to appeal.

She was scheduled to return to court in March for mention, when the findings of a social inquiry report are expected.
