Industrial Accident Claims The Life Of 47-Year-Old Robert A. Vaughan

The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 47-year-old Robert A. Vaughan and extends sincere condolences to his family and friends.

It appears that around 2pm Tuesday, 7th June 2022 Mr. Vaughan, a local elevator technician, was working inside a 10th floor room at Seon Place, Front Street, City of Hamilton when he fell off a ladder, striking his head.

Despite lifesaving efforts as he was rushed unconscious to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance, Mr. Vaughan was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

Police officers then attended Seon Place to conduct initial inquiries, along with a Government Occupational Safety & Health official.

The investigation regarding this fatal industrial incident is ongoing. An autopsy is anticipated, but foul play is not suspected.
