Independence Day Bonfire Draws Hundreds to Snorkel Park Beach

Snorkel Park Beach saw a remarkable turnout on Thursday, July 4th, as hundreds of locals and visitors gathered for a special Independence Day celebration during the weekly beach bonfire. Hosted by Power Girl, the event featured the smooth sounds of Hind sight Band and a captivating performance by the Island Teazza Fire Limbo Dancer.

Attendees enjoyed a complimentary dessert bar, offering s’mores, a chocolate fountain, and other
delightful treats. The event’s ambiance was electrifying, highlighted by Bermuda’s largest
bonfire, fire sparklers, fire torches, and the impressive skills of the island’s best fire limbo

Dennie O’Connor, CEO of Snorkel Park, expressed his pride in seeing families and visitors come together to enjoy local entertainment and the vibrant atmosphere. He noted that the event evoked a sense of nostalgia, recalling a time when Bermuda’s entertainment and hospitality industry was at its peak, with top entertainers performing across the island.
The event was partially sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport, and WEDCO, underscoring its significance and community support.

The Monday and Thursday night bonfires at Snorkel Park are a staple of local entertainment,
featuring live performances, a dessert bar with s’mores, the largest funcastle in the west, rock
climbing, waterslides, basketball, night volleyball, a jerk station, beachside cuisine, and an array of mocktails and cocktails.

Looking ahead, the festivities will continue on Monday, July 8th, as twin brothers Stefan and
Rupert Hinds of Hindsight celebrate their birthday during the Beach Bonfire. All are welcome to join the celebration. However, on Thursday, July 9th there will be no bonfire due to an international comedy show hosted by Bootsie at Snorkel Park.

Award-winning Beach Boys Limited continues to set the local hospitality and tourism industry
ablaze with their innovative events and dedication to creating memorable experiences.
