I Gave My All But Came Up Short Say Marshall

Three-time Bermuda Day Half Marathon winner Lamont Marshall came in second overall in this year’s race, finishing at 1:13:01. Even though this was not his personal best, he was very happy with the results.

“ I gave it my all, but came up short. I’m still glad to tow the line and I am pleased with second place,” he said. “This is not over for me, I will continue with my career.”

Mr. Marshall hopes that today’s race is not an outlier and that there can be competitive races with spectators all year round.

“It is good for the sport for guys to come back out and be competitive,” he said. “Hopefully we will have a fairly quiet summer in terms of COVID cases and can do a number of races heading into May 24 [rather than just one].

Congratulations to Chris Estwanik on a great run and win today.
