I am committed to the work needed to strengthen the community says Carl Neblett

As the bye-election approaches in just a few days, I stand before the public as a committed and passionate man who believes in the potential of our beloved Bermuda. Over the past few months, I have visited the neighbourhoods of Constituency 36, knocked on their doors, and listened to their concerns. What was meant to be a quick visit often lasted much longer as many bared their souls to me.
Constituents shared their frustrations, their needs, and their fears. Some spoke of challenges that have been ignored for years, of politicians who have come and gone, making promises but delivering little. Constituency 36 has been a PLP stronghold for years, but have the voices of the constituents been heard? Have the issues in this community been addressed?
It is time for change. The people of Constituency 36 deserve better. They deserve someone who will not just show up during election season but will be an active member in the community. I will be someone who will listen and advocate for Constituency 36. Regardless of the outcome of this election, I will continue to canvas the neighbourhoods and listen to the voices of the people.
I am a man of transparency and integrity. I do not make hollow promises. I am committed to the work needed to strengthen the community. Bermuda has shaped me. I came here as a very young man, and this beautiful country, with its rich culture and resilient people, gave me so much. I want to give back in the best way possible, by serving and representing the people of Bermuda, right here in Constituency 36.
I love Bermuda, and I love its people. Our community is filled with hardworking men and women who simply want the best for their families. Constituents deserve safer neighborhoods, more opportunities for the youth, and a government that works for them, not against them. I am here to be that bridge. To push for policies that uplift all of us, not just the select few. To bring concerns into the halls of power and make sure they are addressed.
I believe that politics should not just be about winning elections—it’s about service. It’s about dedication. That’s why I am in this for the long haul. After the election is passed, I will still be here. I am committed to this community, and my duty will not end on election night. My goal is to build long-term relationships, to fight for real change, and to make Constituency 36 a shining example of what can happen when we work together for the greater good.
I don’t take the support for granted. In this upcoming bye-election, may the best candidate win. Together, we can create a brighter future for Bermuda. Let’s seize this moment. Let’s embrace change. Let’s build a Bermuda that works for everyone.
