Hurricane Lee arrived at Bermuda’s doorstep with a lashing of powerful, sustained winds more than 50 mph.
The South Shore was being particularly impacted by unrelenting, strong surf gashing the shoreline, with The Reefs Resort a particular target picked out by Lee for special attention.
There were reports of a few reckless adults swimming, in as an eyewitness describe it as dangerous condition, and totally irresponsible behavior.
More of the same is forecast for the near future, with all persons encouraged to take all safety precautions custom with dealing with storms of this magnitude.
