Members of Parliament expressed deep sorrow yesterday following a shooting that left two dead and three injured at Legends bar on Somerset Road.
Speaker of the House, Dennis Lister, urged anyone with information to assist police, emphasizing that “senseless violence has left our community reeling.”
Meanwhile, Premier David Burt called for peace and support for affected families, stating, “We must uplift those whose lives have changed forever.”
National Security Minister, Michael Weeks highlighted the need for better community support, saying, “We cannot allow violence to define us.”
Opposition MP, Robert King, echoed these sentiments, emphasizing that the community must unite to ensure safety and healing in the wake of this tragedy.
