HORROR AT JEWS BAY AS MAN PLOUGHS INTO THREE VEHICLES

  • The driver of a car extensively damaged in a four vehicle collision near Jews Bay, Southampton told of the horrifying experience she and her two-year-old were thrust into by a person she suspected to be driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol yesterday afternoon.
  • The woman said that she was in a stopped position when she saw a car approaching from behind at high speed.
  • The car proceeded to plough into the back of her vehicle before careening onto the other side of the road and colliding into two other vehicles, leaving hers and the driver’s car extensively damaged.
  • “I saw a car absolutely flying at me,” the woman told TNN. “I just screamed and he just slammed into the back of me at full speed, he never even hit his brakes. “This man could have killed me and or my baby, I’m extremely alarmed at the behavior on our roads.”

“Then after he hit another car head on coming in the other direction.”
Stranger were the purported actions of the driver following the crash, as he exhibited what she described as quite strange.

“There was nothing going on behind his eyes,” she said of the man, who proceeded to collect several car parts strewn about the road, packing them into his own car. “ He was out of his mind, polishing and cleaning an extensively damaged car.”

“He didn’t know what was going on and he thought that we hit him.”
There was also concern as to whether the car the man was driving was licenced and insured at the time.

“The sticker on his car said that it had expired in October, she shared.
Meanwhile, the two women in the Mercedes went to the hospital, as did the woman and child.

The woman had a stark message to drivers. “Don’t drink alcohol  or do drugs before you drive.”
