Homeless Man Charged In Magistrates Court With Robbery

A 28 years of man of no fixed abode was charged with robbery in Magistrates Court on Friday.

Daquan Burgess pleaded not guilty to the offences. It was stated that the accused man on the 18th day of January 2023, in Pembroke Parish, did rob Sharilyn Simons ( care of the MarketPlace ) of $20.00 in cash, and at the time of doing so and in order to do so, used force on the said Sharilyn Simons. Contrary to Section 338 of the Criminal Code Act 1907.

Acting Magistrate Craig Attridge bailed Burgess to the sum of $2500,00 with a surety of the same amount, also an address of Daquan Burgesso be confirmed, the accused will returned to  Court on January 30th 2023 at 2:30pm.
