Homeless man accused of a string of thefts and prowling

A 30-year-old homeless man was charged in Magistrates Court for a string of offences relative to alleged criminal activity at several locations in Hamilton Parish this month.

Dwayne Hassan was accused of trespassing on the property occupied by Hamilton Parish Workman’s Club and obtaining $1,600 from the club on March 12 of this year.

Additionally he was also accused of entering the same building on March 8 and stealing $450.

He was further accused of prowling about dwelling house #11 Winton Lane in Hamilton Parish on March 5.

Hassan denied all charges and was remanded into custody, to reappear on April 2, 2023 for mention.

Additionally a mental assessment was ordered for the unemployed man of no fixed abode.
