The Ministry of Home Affairs advised that registration for the Cost of Living Summit 2025 is now officially closed.
The Summit, scheduled for June 25, has reached capacity following overwhelming interest from community leaders, industry stakeholders, government policy makers and residents.
To ensure that as many people as possible can engage in the event throughout the day, the Ministry is pleased to advise that the Cost of Living Summit will be streamed live via the Government’s CITV YouTube Channel and the Government of Bermuda’s Facebook Page.
The public is invited to tune in at 9:00 a.m. on June 25 to watch the opening remarks by the Minister of Home Affairs, the Hon. Alexa Lightbourne, JP, MP.
The Minister’s welcome will be followed by a series of focused panel discussions aimed at exploring solutions to tackle affordability in the areas of housing, utilities, and food cost.
Today, Minister Lightbourne thanked the public for their keen interest and says she is encouraged by the overwhelming response.
The Minister said, “It’s a clear sign that the community is eager and ready to engage in solution-based dialogue around an issue that affects us all. On Wednesday, we will bring together key stakeholders and the public for a focused conversation on addressing Bermuda’s cost of living challenges.
“This forum is a commitment from the Government to listen, and to act in partnership with the community and private sector. This forms the first phase of the Ministry’s approach to addressing the Cost of Living. At the end of the Summit, we will take the feedback received and determine the next steps to a more affordable Bermuda.
Those who were unable to register are encouraged to stay connected via www.costoflivingsummit.gov.bm. There the public can see the scheduled agenda of events planned on Wednesday, as well as participate in a series of public online surveys which will be featured throughout the day.
