Harbour Nights Lights Up Front Street with Culture, Kids, and Community Charm

With summer now in full swing and school out on summer holidays just last week, Harbour Night brought the heart of Hamilton to life last night as families, children, tourists, and students filled Front Street, for the island’s weekly Wednesday night celebration.

TNN News was on the ground as the streets pulsed with energy—an unmistakable blend of tradition, youth, music, and entrepreneurship.

• Theatre with Purpose and Dance with Passion

The night kicked off with a stirring reenactment by the Theatre Boycott Group, who brought Bermuda’s historic civil rights moment to the main stage, reminding spectators of the power of protest and unity.

Not long after, the mood lifted with a high-energy performance from the Bermuda Dance Academy, featuring young female dancers who wowed the crowd with poise and precision. Their movements spoke volumes about the island’s growing generation of talent.

• Kiddy Land Comes Alive with Fire Wayne

In the “One Com” children’s zone, where all kiddy ride rides were free of charge, the special guest was Fire Wayne who stole the spotlight in Kiddy Land, performing his new songs and keeping the younger audience moving singing and dancing. From toddlers dancing to parents clapping along, Fire Wayne turned the area into a family-friendly jam session.

• Beauty, Oils & Vibes with Yinka Bartley

Amid the festive chaos, TNN’s travel crew stopped by a standout vendor booth to speak with Yinka Bartley, owner of Unique Nails. Her beauty table was a self-care haven featuring:

  • Fragrance Rilla oils
  • Cuticle and body oils
  • “Man spirit” oils
  • Organic sugar scrubs

“This table is all about self-care,” Bartley shared. “From anything girly to anything cosmetic—you name it, we’ve got it.”

She proudly showcased her new oil bar, where customers can create their own blends in 2 oz or 4 oz bottles.

“Everything is organic, made with natural and essential oils. It’s refreshing, moisturizing—once you pair it with our sugar scrub, you’re glowing.”

Before we wrapped, Bartley left us with a simple message:

“Take time for yourself. Self-care is not a luxury—it’s a necessity.”

From historic reenactments and dance to kid-friendly fun and holistic beauty, Harbour Night continues to be the pulse of Bermuda’s midweek life. With each Wednesday bringing new memories, new music, and new moments, it’s safe to say the summer has officially arrived—loud, proud, and glowing.
