The Minister of Social Development and Seniors, the Hon. Tinee Furbert, JP MP joined the Department of Child Development in celebrating Bermuda’s Foster Parents.

The appreciation tea, held on Sunday, May 22th at the Royal Dingy Club, saw over 40 foster parents recognized for their role in supporting a child in Bermuda’s foster care system.

Minister Furbert was on hand to join in the recognition, and stated, “Although Foster Care Month ended on May 31st, the Department of Child and Family Services will continue to encourage families to consider assisting a foster child. With 65 children in foster care, the Department calls upon individuals to open their hearts and home.”
