Foreign National Pleads Guilty to Drug Importation Charges in Supreme Court

A foreign national appeared in the Supreme Court today during the monthly arraignment session and pleaded guilty to two of four drug-related charges.

Karandeep Nandra, identified in court as a foreign national, admitted that on 25 April 2025 he imported diamorphine into Bermuda. He also pleaded guilty to importing cannabis resin on the same date.

Two additional charges—possession with intent to supply diamorphine and possession with intent to supply cannabis resin—were left on the books and will not proceed at this time.

The arraignment was overseen by Justice Alan Richards. Nandra represented himself during the proceedings, though he received assistance from defense counsel Susan Mulligan.

Following his pleas, Nandra was remanded into custody. He is scheduled to reappear before the Supreme Court on 26 January 2026 for mention, at which time a sentencing date will be set.
