A milestone was reached in the St. Georges Town Square as a new restaurant sign was installed. “Pub & Restaurant was chosen as a nod to the past and present”, says spokesperson Kristina Burrows.
The upstairs dining options include Alexander’s Dining Room, the Verandah and a Private Lounge.
Takeaway, Delivery and Catering will be provided from the lower floor which features multiple large kitchens where teams of chefs prepare different cuisines in different areas.
Food and beverage offerings for Takeaway and Delivery will include offerings from Taj Indian Cuisine, Luciano’s Italian, Pita Pita Mediterranean, MexiTaco Mexican, Four Star, SmashBurger Homemade Fancy Burgers and BurgerShack Flame-broiled burgers and Freddie’s Island Buffet and local cuisine.
Barista coffees will be by Dangelinis Coffeeshop, cakes and pastries will be made on-site by Glaze Bakery. Ice Cream, milkshakes and desserts will be created by the team from Swirl.
“After extensive restoration and renovation for 2 years, we are excited to be on the home stretch”, says Ms Burrows. “We are putting on the finishing touches and getting ready inside. I have to say – the inside is amazing. It is both historical and cosmopolitan. The building has a story, the furniture, decor and lighting are museum quality with their own stories. The bathrooms and private dining areas offer their own stories and must been seen to be believed, and lastly, there is the story of ‘Alexander’ – a generational relative of Mr Thomas and the middle name of his brother Belcario, both having lived in St Georges.
