Firearm Incident at Divots Police received a report of a firearms incident at Divots restaurant at the Belmont Hills golf club in Warwick earlier this afternoon, at around 1:10 pm, according to BPS Acting Detective-Inspector Sherwin Joseph.
As of 3:30 p.m., nobody has been arrested yet and the scene is still being forensically processed. Nobody was injured as a result of the incident and the firearm has been seized by police.
“ We are particularly interested in anyone who may have seen a male about 6’2” tall, wearing a blue-gray thin raincoat, blue-gray skinny jeans, white high-top sneakers, a black helmet and riding a black motorcycle,” Mr. Joseph said. “ We will continue to update the public as this investigation proceeds.”
Anyone with information on this incident is encouraged to call 211, the Hamilton Police Station main number 295-0011, or talk with a police officer whom they know and feel comfortable talking to.

Acting Minister of National Security and neighboring area MP the Honorable Lawrence Scott,
JP, MP, said that the Government is concerned with every incident of antisocial behavior and, similar to Mr. Joseph, encourages people to say something if they know something.
“ We have to work together and step forward, because this is not acceptable in this country,”
area MP Ianthia Simmons-Wade said. “ We all have a role to play and we need to start playing it . . . when it comes into people’s neighborhoods, people become extremely concerned. They
should be concerned as Bermudians, but when it affects someone directly, it is very frightening.”
