Filipino Woman Reportedly Arrested in Bermuda Over Philippines Murder Warrant

BREAKING NEWS

TNN News has learned this evening that a Filipino woman, believed to work as a masseuse or massage therapist at a resort in Bermuda’s eastern end, has reportedly been arrested by the Bermuda Police Service.

The reported arrest comes hours after TNN News broke a story concerning a Filipino woman wanted by authorities in the Philippines in connection with the 2025 killing of a senior employee of the Philippine House of Representatives.

The woman, identified as Ma Theresa J. Requerme, is one of several individuals named in an arrest warrant issued by the Quezon City Regional Trial Court in connection with the June 15, 2025 killing of Mauricio Morrie Pulhin, 63, who was the chief of technical staff of the House Committee on Ways and Means.

According to reports published by The Filipino Star in October 2025, the court ordered the arrest of Requerme, Alex Jesus Chapin Jr, Ignicris Pios and Judy Rivera.

The publication reported that Philippine authorities had identified Requerme and Cuchapin as alleged masterminds in the killing.

TNN News understands that the woman believed to be Requerme has now been taken into custody by the Bermuda Police Service.

At this stage, however, TNN has not received official confirmation from the Bermuda Police Service regarding the reported arrest, the identity of the individual detained, or the circumstances surrounding the arrest.

TNN News has reached out to Police Media Relations for confirmation and further details we await a response.

This remains a developing story.
