Shortly before 9:00 a.m. on Monday, April 28, 2025, police and other first responders were despatched to a two vehicle collision involving a motorcycle and a car on Palmetto Road, near the junction with Orchard Grove.
It appears the motorcyclist, a 30-year-old female, was traveling east on Palmetto Road, when she collided with the motorcar, which was exiting Orchard Grove .
The motorcyclist was ejected from her vehicle and landed on the roadway.
She was conscious, alert and communicating with EMTs while she was attended to at the scene, but complained of chest pains.
She was subsequently transported by ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for further treatment.
The female driver of the motorcar appeared unhurt.
An investigation into this matter has begun and anyone with information is asked to call Police Constable James Adams on 295-0011.
