Family of Deceased Man Want Answers from Widow and Police

Just over three weeks Friday gone, a woman who will remain anonymous received a gut-wrenching phone call that her brother was unresponsive at the hospital. At the time, her brother was classified as a “John Doe,” meaning his identity was unknown at the time.

“ If is believed his wife was at the residence in which they both reside [at the time of the incident], how could he be called John Doe,” the woman asked. “ [I assume that] the police must have taken his wife straight up to the Police Station; as she did not come to the hospital and did not identify the body.”

According to the sister, despite talking with the Police, they have not received any updates on the investigation into the man’s death. As of Friday July 2, the family had not even seen the man’s autopsy report. His viewing was on Friday night, the last time that family members saw him, it is believed he was cremated on Saturday July 3.

“ Family members have made ten different phone calls [to his widow since his death,] and no one has received an answer yet; not even to his six children,” the sister said. “ The only thing I would say to his widow right now is to give the kids some answers, because they are all hurting.”

Inquires were made to the BPS seeking an update into this matter, TNN received a reply stating the investigation continues.
