Emergency Road Works Near Heron Bay School

The Ministry of Public Works wishes to inform the public that there is a disruption to the flow of traffic immediately adjacent to the Heron Bay Primary School on Middle Road in Southampton.

A ministry spokesperson confirmed that as of 4 pm on Sunday 20 February, emergency trench work began to repair a fault in the underground BELCO lines.

Construction crews will work through the night into Monday 21 February and it is expected to be completed by Monday night.

Parents who are planning to drop off and collect their children will still be able to do so but should allow for additional time during peak traffic hours.
