The Water and Sewage Section of the Ministry of Public Works wishes to inform the public of an emergency interruption to the piped top-up water service affecting customers in the Devonshire, Smith’s, and Hamilton Parish areas.
This temporary service disruption is necessary to maintain plant equipment. The interruption commenced at 4.30 p.m. today with the expectation that top-up water service will be restored by Wednesday afternoon, April 10, 2024.
The areas affected by this temporary interruption include:
- Devonshire: Middle Road, Brighton Hill Road, Lamas Road and Drive, Watlington Road East, South Road, Devonshire Bay Road, Devon Point Lane, Palm Lane, Devon Spring Road and Lane, Hermitage Road.
- Smith’s: Middle Road, Vermont Road, Clarendon Lane, Clarendon Road, St. James Crescent, Town Hill Road, Northshore Road, Zuils Park Road, Napton Hill Road.
- Hamilton Parish: East Point Lane, Studio Lane, Radnor Road, Northshore Road, Redkiln Road, Fractious Street, Harrington Sound Road.
The Ministry understands the inconvenience this may cause and is working diligently to ensure the restoration of services as swiftly and safely as possible.
If customers residing in the affected areas require top-up water urgently, they should contact a water trucking company for assistance.
