ELEVATE BERMUDA TOGETHER” BTA LEADS THE CHARGE IN APRIL FOR HOSPITALITY MONTH

The Bermuda Tourism Authority (BTA) celebrates Bermuda’s Hospitality industry by recognising April as Hospitality Month. This year’s theme is “Elevate Bermuda Together”, focused on facilitating engagement with residents and stakeholders by creating awareness for on-island hospitality offerings, experiences, and businesses that support a growing tourism industry.

The tourism and hospitality industry plays a crucial role in the Bermudian economy by creating job opportunities for thousands of people. It also supports other sectors such as retail, transportation, and entertainment. Hospitality Month is an excellent opportunity to raise awareness among students about the various career options available in the industry. The tourism and hospitality industry offers a wide range of career paths, including hotel management, event planning, tourism marketing, travel writing, culinary arts, and many others.

By promoting these career options, students can better understand the potential job opportunities and benefits that come with working in this sector. It can also help to address any misconceptions or stereotypes about hospitality careers and encourage more young people to consider pursuing them.

“Hospitality Month was created to highlight Bermuda’s hospitality and tourism product. We know our people are key drivers when visitors make travel decisions. Our brand speaks to those stories, and we plan to extend that for Hospitality Month.”, said Jakai Franks, BTA VP of Operations. “Elevate Bermuda Together means all of us working together to raise standards, awareness and the industry to ensure Bermuda’s tourism sector remains a viable pillar for the economy.”
