Election Day is Scheduled: Tuesday, February 18*

Following the announcement by Premier and Progressive Labour Party Leader, David Burt, the party issued the following statement:

The election on Tuesday, February 18th presents a choice: to continue building a fairer Bermuda or to revert to a party that failed in governance. Together, we have increased pensions, established a minimum wage, reduced taxes for the majority of Bermudians, and developed affordable housing—and there is still more to accomplish.

In the next term, we will further enhance affordable housing, establish senior daycare facilities, offer free annual healthcare visits, and launch the Bermuda Market for more affordable goods.

What about the OBA’s track record? It includes expensive missteps at the airport and Morgan’s Point, neglected public schools, JetGate, pepper spray incidents, and policies that prioritize others over Bermudians, like Pathways to Status. We cannot afford to use go back.

The statement ended “Vote PLP for a Fairer Bermuda”.
