DJ Denies Threatening Woman Over the Phone

40-year-old local DJ Gregory Outerbridge pleaded not guilty in Magistrate’s Court on Friday to using menacing words against Samantha Wainwright via the telephone, namely, “ I’m coming to your house to stab you in the f*****ng face with a knife.”

Mr. Outerbridge, from St. George’s, also pleaded not guilty to threatening Ms. Wainwright, whom he fathered a child with, with injury by repeatedly calling her phone.

Both incidents are alleged to have occurred on Sunday, June 12. Maria Sofianos, for the Crown, objected to bale and asked the Court that Mr. Outerbridge be remanded into custody until his trial date.

Mr. Outerbridge’s attorney Paul WIlson, however, highlighted to the Court that, being a full-time DJ, his client had personal and work-related obligations to attend to over the Heroes’ Weekend.

Taking everything into consideration, Magistrate Maxanne Anderson remanded the defendant in custody and adjourned the case until Tuesday, June 21, when it will be mentioned again.
