Devonshire Recreation Club Football & Cricket unite to rebuild

A special general meeting for all members of the Devonshire Recreation Club took place this evening, with a vote of no confidence raised against Mark Steed by 42 financial members.

The vote was driven by concerns over the lack of Annual General Meetings (AGMs), the absence of financial statements and the deteriorating condition of the club’s facilities. As a result a new president Kwame Steed was elected, along with a new vice president Derek Decherbert.

Kwame Steed has committed to bringing the club back to its former standards by updating financial records, ensuring the minutes of all AGMs are documented, and restoring the facility to good condition.

He emphasized his intention to revive the club’s long-standing tradition of unity and community spirit. The meeting concluded just moments ago.
