Delay in test Results Cause Some Passengers to Miss Miami Flight

Word coming to TNN suggesting that there was a backlog of airline passengers at the airport today, for American Airlines Flight 1261 from Bermuda to Miami, Florida.

There were certain people who could not depart due to not receiving results from their 24-hour pretest required by the U.S. Government.

Many passengers said that they took the test yesterday and have not received their results yet. We understand that some people at the airport were taking tests, unsure of what the outcome would be.

It is understood that other individuals had to repurchase tickets to fly out tomorrow (January 2), hoping to get their results by that time.

TNN’s Trevor Lindsay sought a comment from the Minister of Transport the Honorable Lawrence Scott, JP, MP; but has not received a response.
