Today marks a pivotal moment in the legacy of the Progressive Labor Party (PLP) leader David Burt as the C-36 by-election reaches its conclusion.
Today is the day for Bermuda, particularly the members of Constituency 36, to decide by ballot if they are going to continue with a Progressive Labour Party candidate or a different face as their representative in the House of Assembly when voting results are tabulated later tonight.
Aspirants to the seat vacated by former PLP member of Parliament and Cabinet Minister Kathy-Lynn Simmons, include Marc Bean of the Free Democratic movement (FDM), the One Bermuda Alliance’s (OBA) Carl Neblett, independent candidate Cire Bean and Emily-Gail Dill of the PLP.
The four candidates will find out how much of a mark they have made in their canvassing of C36.The polling station open at 8am this morning and close at 8pm tonight.
