Bermuda’s Cup Match weekend will officially begin on Wednesday, July 29th, with a headline concert featuring the Grammy nominated recording artist Wayne Wonder, performing live as part of a full evening of music produced ahead of this year’s Cup Match holiday.
The event will also feature a performance by The World Immortal Sound ‘Stone Love‘, one of Jamaica’s most established sound systems, alongside a lineup of Bermuda-based selectors including Young Gunz, Black Star, Papa Lenny and Jake.. The night will conclude with a World class fireworks display under the full moon.
“This concert has been organized to give the Bermuda community an exciting start to Cup Match weekend,” organizers said in a statement. “Bringing together an artist of Wayne Wonder’s caliber with Stone Love live from Jamaica and some of Bermuda’s most respected DJs with a wow factor fireworks display reflects the level of entertainment we wanted to offer for this occasion.”
